Alan Ritchson recalls his struggle journey to win the role in "Reacher"

Alan Ritchson, star of Prime Video's superhit web series "Reacher", has recently made a shocking revelation. He told that initially he was not going to get this role, because another actor had been promised the role of Jack Reacher. But after a rigorous eight-month audition process, he bagged the coveted role.


Reacher Season 3 gets great response

The first season of "Reacher", based on the novels by Lee Child, was released in 2022 and became a huge hit among the audience. The recently released Season 3 has also garnered great reviews and the show has reached its most acclaimed stage yet.

Ritchson's Struggle with Audition Process

In an interview with Wired, in which Ritchson was answering Google autocomplete questions, he explained why he was cast as Reacher. He said:

"I asked myself the same question and so did the studio. Because they said many times, 'We're not sure this is the right person. We need someone bigger, stronger and faster.'"

He further said that even after the eight-month audition process, it was not clear that he would get the role. Even when he thought he had been selected, the producers said that they had promised the role to someone else. But Ritchson's hard work and talent eventually got him this big achievement.
