Vin Diesel, the actor best known for his role as Dominic Toretto in the series, has teased a new "prequel" project ahead of Fast X: Part 2. The franchise, which began in 2001, has entertained action movie lovers for nearly two decades, expanding with ten sequels and short films.

Diesel recently shared a new picture of himself on Instagram and a photo with Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty. In the post, he hinted that another Fast & Furious project is coming before Fast X: Part 2.
He called the new project a "prequel" and compared it to the 2009 short film Los Bandoleros, which he directed. Surprisingly, Diesel revealed that the studio has asked him to take over directing duties once again.

While he did not reveal any plot details, he did suggest that the film would be shot in a "really exotic" location. Referring to the Middle Eastern deserts used to film Furious 7 (2015), fans have speculated that the new project could also be set in such a location. Diesel's Instagram post and its caption have sparked excitement about the new project.
