Jonathan Majors, who played Kang the Conqueror in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has recently reacted to his possible return. Majors, who was once at the center of the MCU's multiverse saga, was fired by Marvel Studios in December 2023.
The decision came after he was convicted of domestic violence against his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Now, as the MCU has made Doctor Doom its new main villain, Majors made it clear that he would like to play the role of Kang again if he gets the chance.

Kang's future in the MCU
At present, Marvel Studios has decided to make Doctor Doom the new main villain of the Multiverse Saga instead of Kang the Conqueror. According to reports, this role can now be played by Robert Downey Jr., who previously appeared as Iron Man in the MCU. This could mean that Kang and his multiverse variants are very unlikely to return in the upcoming MCU films.
Still, Majors' recent comments indicate that he's open to returning if Marvel changes its plans in the future.
Will Majors get a second chance?
Given the circumstances, it's hard to say whether Marvel Studios will actually cast Majors again. In recent years, the studio has been very cautious about the image of its cast, especially in the case of actors who have been involved in controversy.
However, if fans demand and circumstances go in Majors' favor, his return to the MCU is not impossible.
For now, it will be interesting to see what direction Marvel Studios takes its Multiverse Saga and whether Kang is reintroduced to the MCU in some form or not.
